Going Wild with the BBC at the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust in London!

On Sunday 30th June we will be Going Wild to celebrate the launch of the BBC’s Summer of Wildlife.  Come and join us at the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust in London between 10am and 5pm where we will be making flying birds and mini beasts.  See http://www.wwt.org.uk/visit/london/whats-on/2013/06/30/bbc-summer-of-wildlife-day/ for all the details of the huge amount of fun things you can do and see.

The Natural History Museum brings the wild to your doorstep

Who would have thought that such a wild, magical garden existed right next to the Natural History Museum in the middle of London?  It’s an amazing place and we had such fun taking part in their Bat Festival – basking in the sunshine, walking through the buttercup meadow, being creative and using the natural world for inspiration.  The natural world was looking it’s absolute best, so that bit was particularly easy!

Fiona even saw a fox cub wandering through the garden completely oblivious to all the visitors.  Perhaps he knew they were all there to see the Bats and so wouldn’t be interested in him!  wildlife in city-1

So if you feel you need some wild green space in London, we suggest you visit the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Garden.  Here are some of the wonderful creations made by children while we were there…clay bats -6natural history museum bat day-36 natural history museum bat day-41
